DESCRIPTION
- General Function Works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist at all times. To ensure drug inventory is adequate to meet the needs of day-to-day operations while maintaining 340B purchasing compliance and oversight.
- Educational Requirements: High School Graduate
- Experience Requirements: Basic typing and computer skills
- Special Requirements: Current certification with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
- Preferred Experience: Previous experience in pharmacy purchasing and inventory management, as well as 340B program compliance and auditing
- High levels of stress likely due to multi-tasking and customer relations.
- Work requires extended standing, mobility and lifting of boxes.
- Working with antineoplastic agents / carcinogenic chemicals /Hazardous drugs (limited to unpacking and stocking hazardous agents and transporting prepared products within the hospital setting).
