Educational Requirements: 

• Licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Bachelor’s  or Associate’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or in Chemical or biological sciences with the CLIA required courses.  Licensure is verified using The State of Louisiana Board of Medical Examiners web site.
• Meets the requirements of a Clinical Laboratory Scientists by CLIA.

Training: 

• Equivalent to the Certification agency as defined by Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
