Description
General Function:
Direct the planning, development and management of organization-wide programming for all marketing, foundation, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and business development efforts, ensuring the delivery of high-performance results to support business objectives. Provide overall strategic direction for marketing and community impact efforts. Champion efforts to advance the organization’s focus on developing and implementing collaborative solutions that achieve organizational DEI goals.  

Four (4) essential functional responsibilities:
  • Direct marketing + communications strategy;
  • Lead the planning, development and execution of the WCCH Foundation;
  • Drive organizational diversity, inclusion and equity (DEI) + impact efforts;
  • Support organizational business development/hospital growth initiatives.   
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
  • Educational Requirements:
    • Master’s Degree preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or related field
    • Certification in Philanthropy, Fund Development, or Nonprofit Management preferred (CFRE or similar certification desirable)
  • Experience Requirements:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare marketing, communications, foundation operations, or related field
    • Experience in fund development, donor relations, grant writing, and fundraising event planning preferred
    • Experience working within a nonprofit, governmental, or healthcare system environment preferred
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
    • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
    • Experience in grant writing and donor engagement preferred
    • Knowledge of fundraising strategies, community outreach, and philanthropic initiatives
    • Ability to coordinate and manage fundraising campaigns, sponsorships, and special events
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners, donors, and stakeholders
