General Function: General Function: All criteria evaluated reflect the quality and quantity of the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluation for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Educational Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• Maintains valid R.N. Louisiana license
• CPR certified
• Valid driver’s license

Experience Requirements:

• The RN shall be currently licensed by the LSBN without restrictions and have, at a minimum, one year of clinical experience as an RN.

Special Requirements:

• ​This requirement may be waived for an RN with one year’s clinical experience as an LPN.
• An RN applicant may not work in the home health setting as an RN.
