DESCRIPTION:
- General Function: The Operating Room Technician assists the surgical team with duties to facilitate quality patient care. Assist in cleaning of the Surgical Services department, stocking supplies, maintaining inventory, patient and lab specimen transport. Clerical/receptionist duties and maintaining the physical environment of the area. Assist with the decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilizing of supplies and equipment.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
- Educational Requirements:
- -High School Education or GED
- Experience Requirements:
- -Health related experience and knowledge of medical terminology & some basic general anatomy preferred (minimal 1-year experience).
- Special Requirements:
- -Computer Skills
- -Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- -Ability to use and maintain cleaning equipment chemicals
