Description
Ultrasound Technologists use imaging equipment that noninvasively emits sound waves directed towards internal organs, blood vessels, tissues and other structures.
Responsibilities:
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Provide high quality patient care while being part of a dynamic health care team.
Educational Requirements/Special Requirements:
- High School graduate.
- Two years of training in a School of Radiologic Technology in a hospital based certificate program or a degree in college.
- Must be registered by the American Registry Radiologic Technology and/or Licensed by the LA State Board of Radiologic Technology.
- Must be willing to cross train in ultrasound.
