DESCRIPTION
General Function: Reviews patient account files and ensures their accuracy and completeness, determines appropriate billing procedures and processes the claims for payment.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Most job functions will take place in an air-conditioned area with little exposure to hazardous or infectious materials. Customer contact may cause some exposure to infection. Employee may be required to perform duties in storage areas. Long hours of sitting at a computer terminal are routine. Some possible lifting, stooping, and pushing may be necessary.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
- Educational Requirements: High School Graduate
- Experience Requirements: Prefer previous employment in hospital/ medical or insurance industry with 1- 2 years experience.
- Special Requirements:
- Type 30 WPM
- Experience with computer terminal or personal computer.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance regulations required.
