General Function: Responsible for coding, abstracting, and verifying billing of medical records utilizing ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 and HCPCS coding systems.

Educational Requirements:

• High School Degree. Professional Coding Certification preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Type 40 wpm and knowledge of computers

Experience Requirements:

• At least two years of coding experience in acute care settings.
